It turned out that our water intrusion was caused by structural problems around the window and door openings. He gave us a reasonable quote and was able to fit us in within a couple of weeks. The crew showed up on time and did proper protection around the house before beginning the work. The bricks were first carefully taken out, an old rusty beam above the window opening was replaced, and old waterproof flashings were replaced. The crew was able to preserve and reuse the original bricks. They also did a great job cleaning up afterwards. We have had several large storms following the repair and no leaks! They provided detailed pictures and proof of work to us to ensure the case was closed without additional fines.The BadWindows were broken in the process and then went unfixed for months. While we understand it is hard to find a subcontractor, this might have been prevented simply by covering the windows with a mover’s blanket during the grinding process.There were several spots where the grout was not color matched as promised in the statement of work; gray concrete color does not match the existing beige grout tint.
